How it works
Four steps, after the scene exists.
- Generate or open a scene. Voiceover applies to a finished video in the studio, not to a photo tool output.
- Pick a voice. Listen to any of them before you decide. Voices are read live from our provider account, so the list grows as we add to it.
- Write the line. Up to 1,500 characters per scene, which is roughly two minutes of speech.
- Mix it in. The original sound of the scene stays underneath, so the voice sits in the shot rather than on top of it.

Why the order matters
Hindi first is a decision, not a default.
Most tools present a long list of voices with international English at the top and Hindi somewhere below, if it is there at all. For a creator making something for an Indian audience that is backwards: the voice you want is buried under thirty you will never use.
Shotloom groups the list Hindi first, then Indian English, then international English. It is a small thing that saves a scroll every single time, and it is the same reasoning behind pricing in rupees and presets named Diwali and IPL rather than Generic Festival.
A scene with a Hindi voice costs 110 credits to generate at draft quality with audio plus 30 for the voiceover, so 140 credits in total, about ₹253. Your first 100 credits are free once your profile is complete, which covers a draft scene or three voiceovers.
Good to know
Honest limits.
Your prompt is still written in English. The voiceover is Hindi; the description you type to generate the scene is not, and Devanagari in a prompt is not supported.
Voiceover attaches to a finished video scene in the studio. It does not apply to the photo tools, so a Trip Film or a Showcase promo cannot carry one. Those take a music track instead.
It is one voice per scene, spoken over the whole clip. There is no multi-speaker dialogue and no per-line timing control.
Regional languages beyond Hindi are not offered today. If you need Tamil, Telugu, Bengali or Marathi, say so at support@shotloom.ai: the provider supports more than we expose, and demand is what decides what we add.
