Festival ads
Diwali and festival campaigns, made in a week.
Festival advertising has a deadline nobody can move and a window that closes. Shotloom has presets built for it: Festive for lights and celebration energy, Diwali for diyas and warm firelight, IPL for cricket season. Write the line, pick the preset, get the sizes you need.
The problem
The calendar does not wait.
A Diwali campaign is commissioned in October and has to be live before the festival, in six or eight placements at different shapes. The traditional route is a shoot, an editor, and a week of resizing. Most small brands skip it and post a static image instead.
A generated scene takes a couple of minutes and costs less than lunch. That changes what is worth making: you can produce a video for a festival you would previously have ignored, and a separate one for each placement rather than cropping a single master badly.
Three presets
Written for Indian festivals, not adapted to them.
Festive adds colourful lights, bokeh, celebration energy and vibrancy. It is the general-purpose festival look, and the one to use for Holi, Onam, Eid, Pongal and Navratri.
Diwali is more specific: Diwali night, oil lamps glowing, sparkling diyas, warm firelight, festive family moments. Use it when the ad is about Diwali itself rather than a festive sale.
IPL covers the other fixed point in the Indian calendar: stadium floodlights, crowd energy and high-drama sports cinematics, for cricket-season campaigns.
A preset is a prefix on your description, so you write the product and the moment and it handles the light. Turn it off and your exact words are used instead.
What it costs
A full festival set.
A three scene film at draft quality with audio is 330 credits, roughly ₹597 at top-up rates plus 18% GST. Six still creatives at standard quality are 192 credits, about ₹347. Brand ads render in every standard social, display and messaging size, so one campaign covers the placements rather than one shape.
If the campaign is built from photographs of the actual shop, the sweets or the crowd, Showcase cuts them into a branded promo with your logo and contact line for a flat 50 credits, about ₹90, using the Event or Business template. Your first 100 credits are free once your profile is complete.
110 credits for an 8 second festival scene with audio, draft quality
About ₹199 at top-up rates, where the Boost pack is ₹199 for 110 credits, plus 18% GST. On a monthly plan the same render costs fewer rupees, because plan credits are cheaper per credit. Failed renders refund automatically.
How to use it
A campaign, in five steps.
- Pick Festive or Diwali. Festive for a sale or a general celebration, Diwali when the festival itself is the subject.
- Describe the moment, not the style. A family lighting diyas on a balcony, slow push forward. The preset supplies the light and the mood.
- Attach your product. Up to three reference images on every plan, so the actual product or packaging carries through the scenes.
- Render each placement. Video in 16:9 and 9:16, images in 1:1 and 4:5, brand ads in the standard ad sizes.
- Add a voice. A Hindi or Indian English voiceover on the finished cut, with the original audio underneath.
Good to know
Honest limits.
Generated faces are not your customers and generated shops are not your shop. For an ad that has to show the real thing, photograph it and use Showcase or a reference image, rather than asking a model to imagine your storefront.
Text inside a generated image is unreliable, as it is with every image model. Offer text, prices and phone numbers belong in the Creatives tab, where they are rendered by code exactly as typed, or on a Showcase video where the same is true.
